yes ..many carry excessive amounts of gear /clothes . Often unnecessary. The more I travelled and the older I got the less I required and the easier it became .

I know a couple of people who were worried because their passport got wet ....but in the end didn't have any problems .. depends on the immigration officer

I don't mind rules ....but when they are discretionary and arbitrary it's both annoying and frustrating . From now on I will be purchasing the fake $15 tickets which many seem to buy .
