I would not intend on returning to Canada as my home is in Spain.

This may seem an odd question, but if or when I am in the situation where I need to obtain a consular/embassy letter, I am not sure where I would go. I am a Candian citizen (i.e., travelling with a Canadian passport) but am a permanent resident of Spain. Therefore, would I seek assistance with the Canadian or Spanish consulate?

I have a couple of questions for you. I will be using this office in KL to apply for a SETV to Thailand. I have had a look at the application form and am unsure about a couple of things: 1) where it asks for current address where I am living, do I put the address of where I will be staying in KL or my permanent home address? (This is a bit confusing as the next line asks for the permanent address) and 2) What did you enter for the name of a contact in Thailand? I don't know what to write there as I do not know anyone in Thailand. I think I recall having read somewhere that it is possible to write the name of the first hotel in Thailand where I will be staying. Is that true? Thanks for your help.
