No I went from the pier with the local long tail boats. I would recommend it 🙂 Was rather fun and the Burmese assist you with 100% of everything, even walk you directly to immigration
Also the immigration officers were great. Very quick to stamp my passport and the only questions I was asked was if I wanted some papaya salad or a bottle of water for the boat 🙂
I just did this last week! I didn’t see any tour groups or tourists at all. You can find someone Burmese to organize a boat for you right outside the immigration desk 🙂 Let me know if you have any questions!
Awesome thank you! My stamp doesn't expire until October 22nd but if I were to go to immigration within the next couple days and apply for an extension, they could stamp it now so it would be good until November 22nd? This would give me enough time to not have to worry about paying overstay for my new passport. There is enough room - as long as it only has to be
But this stamp doesn't need it's own page right? I just have the 30 day stamp but it is on the last page of my passport. It is the only stamp there so an extension stamp would also fit, as long as it doesn't need it's own page.
