Just confirming that I was stopped by airline staff in Dallas (US) regarding my 35 day visit to Thailand w/o a visa. I had a hotel booking in Langkawi, Malaysia set for mid-trip. After being passed to the staff supervisor, I was cleared to board.
My Bangladeshi colleague (teacher) said that it can be done in BKK, but that it is really very difficult to get all the paperwork. He did it in BKK, but he said that 99.9% of Bangladeshis go back to Bangladesh to do it.
Tangent: If you have a multiple re-entry permit (and an extension of stay) and frequently leave the country, could you avoid doing a 90 day report within that year since the clock re-sets?
