No , you just need a copy of your bank statements ( 3 or 6 months ) when you apply ( at THAI embassy ) .

Tom , I have a pension visa 3rd year now , as I say 800k , 3 months prior from the 1st extension, ( first full year which could last up to nearly two years if you time it right ) .. get a multi entry as I do every time you renew you go away as many times as you like every week if you want , ( plus the 90 day report starts again every time you leave / return )

you don't have to have 800,000 tied up all year , just 3 months prior to extending plus get a multi as I have for example and you can still come and go as you please

Plus somebody can do your report for you too 👍🏻

I'll be honest with you Tom , there are people out here ( Pattaya ) , that have retirement visas and I can't understand how they got them but they( and I know of 5-6 cases ) have them , I was slightly annoyed because I did it all the correct way , in all cases they ' paid ' some agent or something around £ 500 .. but I've seen their passports in 2 of these cases ,all the same stamps as I have , I was like " how did you get over the showing monies in a thai bank etc ?? " .. " O , they sorted all that , no problem ....

😳. So I know it can be done . Corruption as you know is not unheard of out here ....now I'm not advising you to do this , but it obviously can be done .
