It's interesting that the Thai Embassy in Moscow, along with other documents for obtaining a DTV (including a bank statement, of course), requires from "Workcation" applicants to provide a proof of INCOME (Russian tax return).

I think proof of residence is required only in consulates using the e-visa system. If you apply the traditional way (in almost all neighboring countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia), this document is not required.
