so what address are you using for your UK bank? They should accept a statement from UK bank as proof of address.

Just an update on the original post in case anyone else finds themselves in the same situation :

After a few emails back and forward with the embassy in London I was told that I could apply for a 90 day non O (visiting non Thai family) at the same time as submitting my wife's non O-A application.

Once all paperwork was in order, visa application submitted and 11 days later...... 12 month Non O-A for Wife : Approved. 90 Day Non O for myself : Approved
