I emailed the consulate in HCMC about a similar question, here's what they responded with

"Regarding the financial statement, kindly print out the transactions within the last 6 months from your personal bank account (it can be from any bank, in any currency) in English or Thai.

- 1 document showing the transactions within 6 months.

- 1 document showing the account balance or a combination of a deposit accounts/saving account/bank account totaling not less than 500,000 Baht.

- kindly note that these documents must be issued by the bank."

I kind of agree, but I think the fact that they specified that the documents must be from your "personal bank account" makes it clear that they won't accept business bank statements (regardless of the name on them)
