Does the Thai embassy accept business bank account statements for DTV proof of funds?

A question around DTV proof of funds - does the embassy only accept 6 months' worth of personal bank account statements, or do they also accept 6 months of your business bank account statements (if your business account is under your own name such as "MY NAME Trading Inc")?

* Update on this from HCMC - "Regarding the financial statement, kindly print out the transactions within the last 6 months from your personal bank account (it can be from any bank, in any currency)** in English or Thai."

TLDR : Answer Summary
The acceptance of bank statements for the DTV visa varies by embassy. Some embassies, like Los Angeles, may accept only one recent personal bank statement, while others, such as Washington DC, have accepted business account statements when both the company and personal names are listed. However, the general trend seems to lean towards requiring personal bank statements, as indicated by responses from the Ho Chi Minh consulate and experiences shared by users in the community.

Penang did not accept a month ago my business account (I have an LLC), I also show a personal account but they did not accept also because it was a broker.

Ho Chi Minh takes up to 5-6 days to reply to emails, but once they do, they are in detail. I don't know about whether business accounts qualify but what I was told is while they need 6 months of account activity, they're fine with an account balance that is above 500,000 when you apply. It would be best to have the funds parked for at least a month though, just in case, but they don't seem to indicate this is necessary.

Hmm, not really all that insightful of an email from them seeing as they didn't say anything at all about your business account (no matter what the name is) and just parroted the "6 months personal account" line πŸ™

I kind of agree, but I think the fact that they specified that the documents must be from your "personal bank account" makes it clear that they won't accept business bank statements (regardless of the name on them)

Washington DC accepts my business bank account for my visa - it’s not DTV and I know that different visas can have different requirements, but I would imagine this one would be same. I have both the company name and then my personal name on the statements

It's gonna come down to the individual consulate you're applying at and I doubt if anyone on this group (or any other group) can give you a definite answer

I'd contact the consulate you're thinking of apply for the DTV thru and see what they say
