Thanks. Good to discover new options for me to do my visa renewals in the future. Will do the land visa exempt soon as my current extension is about to expire, and then when that's up, do the tourist visa service to Vientiane.
so is it better to wait to apply for a new passport until you enter on a tourist visa instead of getting a new passport while in Thailand under Visa exempt stamps?
Frank Chew yes for visa exempt, would i be able to use this service or is it only for METV? I used up a few SETV already, but i havent used my visa exempt for land borders yet and was wondering if i can take advantage of that before applying for another tourist visa.
the cambodia option is just exit the thai border and immediately re-enter using one of the two allowed land borders you get for the year? so the cambodia package is only if you havent already gotten 2 land border exempts?
KL is super strict on paperwork and will deny you on the spot. They want print outs of your ticket IN to Thailand, ticket OUT of Thailand, and at least 15 days accommodation booking!!
Is the visa exempt by air unlimited? I want to know if anyone has experience with having back to back tourist visas but then deciding they want to use a Visa Exempt because they dont plan to stay more than 30 days and want to travel to Hong Kong and then back to Bangkok then to Japan then back to Bangkok. Is this looked down upon? You can rack up lots of exemptions if you only stay a few days and use Bangkok as your home base.
you can go to Vientiane, Laos and easily apply for a tourist visa which gives you 60 days and if you want an additional 30 days you can pay 1900 baht at immigration in bangkok. the single entry tourist visa will start the day you enter thailand.
