Are there any problems with reentering Thailand four times in three months using the 30 day stay without a visa for Canadians? Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling to Thailand as a Canadian citizen using the 30-day visa exemption can allow for multiple entries within a short timeframe, especially by air. However, while technically there are no limitations on the frequency of 30-day visa exempt entries, immigration officers can scrutinize your entry history, particularly if you make frequent returns. It's advised to carry proof of funds, onward travel, and accommodation to avoid potential questioning at passport control. If planning for multiple entries, it's prudent to consider a longer-term Tourist Visa or Multi-Entry Tourist Visa to minimize complications.

OP - With all the money you are spending or plan on spending on Travel and such you could invest in a proper Tourist Visa... But just remember Thai Immigration / Border Control is being ever more vigilant of short period multi-entries... computer systems and linkages are getting better every few months ... It is not that hard to take a few days out and get a 60 Day Tourist Visa which can be extended by another 30 days at Thai Immigration ... OR Go Home and get a Multi-Entry Tourist Visa good for 6 months of multiple 60 day Entries - that for the most part will remain unquestioned ... BUT -- as said in Thailand -- Up To You...

The "problem" will/would be if/when an immigration officer decides you've had enough privileges; -)

Lopez, While technically there is no rule about the number of 30 day visa exempts you can get entering by air in a defined period of time I would heed the advice of Thomas, as far as having proof of funds, onward travel and a hotel booking here just on the rare chance you're questioned by the people at passport control when you stamp in.

You can only use the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry twice a calendar year by land border crossings, so if you want to make 4 in 3 months you need to fly in and out.

It is only limited by land / sea borders. No limit by air, BUT it is known that after using 6 Visa Exempt Entrees a signal is given. The Immigration Officer CAN ask additional questions, like proof of money, proof of hotel or place to stay, proof onward travel and how do you support yourself.

Is the visa exempt by air unlimited? I want to know if anyone has experience with having back to back tourist visas but then deciding they want to use a Visa Exempt because they dont plan to stay more than 30 days and want to travel to Hong Kong and then back to Bangkok then to Japan then back to Bangkok. Is this looked down upon? You can rack up lots of exemptions if you only stay a few days and use Bangkok as your home base.

Shouldn't be any issue. But it's always up to the officer you get. He'll pull up your entry-exit history and make the decision.
You might consider carrying proof of lodging, proof of onward travel, and 20k bht in cash (or foreign currency equivalent.)

Thanks for the comment. I've flown back twice already, so to confirm, flying back two more times will be no problem?
