Danielle Jones yes that’s what we did. 40,000 baht for a family, which is what we did. But we weren’t asked.

Chances are normally slim that they'll ask for it but they CAN ask. Best to be prepared.

And it's 20,000 baht OR equivalent. The more times you look to enter the Kingdom, the higher probability of being asked for this. Bangkok Airport has been known to be more strict than others as of recent.
