I guess the embassy sees, that you are inviting someone to poland, when you are either at thailand or UK yourself..

The embassy does not care about your family. You say you live in Thailand and want to go UK, or going to UK?

@Russell ******
He's living in Thailand. "Coming to UK for money." And applying visa for thai to Poland... Isn't that already a bit shady?

Ok. I am fine with that, being wrong. Yet, my invitations have never been denied..so...

Can ask, but embassy is not obligated to give any answer. And they won't give one.

Usually with schengen (EU) visa, they don't specify the reason. Mostly it's because of a doubt of person not returning back home.

Getting a visa has nothing to do with being nice or asshole. They just want / need a reason for invitee to return home, after the planned visit is over.

What ever the situation...the reason to return, is the most important thing. Also, usually there is no such thing as appeal against denied visa. The way is to apply again with better documentation and precise plan for visit. If still denied, one should practise common sense and ask if there might be some other issues, untold.

Of course I will definately check beforehand now, after hearing about this possibility. I just don't understand what is there to interpret when there are options A, B and C given. Unless the interpretation is that etc. option C does not exist.

I hear you, but isn't something that is stated in every official document as clearly as this, about the combination method, something that individual immigration office could not walk over with? Good to hear about this now, since I am in progress of moving in and was going to use combination. Wow...
