I flew with Air Asia. No problem. No questions. But 30 days Visa on arrival flying is always approved from certain countries. Any way it is immigration that determines your Visa. Not the airlines.

As an Australian you you are eligible for visa on arrival for 30 days.

You can arrange for an extension for 30 days once your in Thailand for 1900 THB

There are many immigration officers across Thailand.

I’m Australian & did this recently just before my 30 days expired.

I found an immigration office on Koh Phangan, rather than going to Koh Samui office. It was a very easy process.

Depending on where you’re staying there should be an immigration office close to you. Easier than processing in Bangkok.
