I got told that you are require to show a ticket proving that you are leaving thailand within 45 days if you enter the country on with exempt but do you also have to provide a ticket that proves you are flying out if you have a visa (in my case, a single entry tourist visa)? some folks told me that there's no need while other told me that's mandatory. What is your experience with it? My main concern it about spending money on a ticket which I won't use (because I have to leave the country within 60days while I'd do a visa extension and leave in 90days). Besides of those websites giving you "prenotations" for 15us$, do you have any other solution?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand with a single entry tourist visa, you generally do not need to show proof of onward travel to Thai immigration. However, some airlines may require you to provide a ticket proving you will leave Thailand within your visa duration, particularly if you have a history of frequent entries or if there are concerns about your travel intentions. Many travelers recommend checking with your airline beforehand. If worried about spending money on a ticket you won't use, consider arriving early at the airport to purchase a cheap onward flight if necessary.
As a rule, for immigration procedure at passport control upon your arrival in Thailand, you need to show proof of onward travel, accommodation, and funds (20K thb or equivalent in cash) if asked. But not that often you'd be asked as long as you are a genuine tourist.
Most airlines wouldn't ask for an onward flight ticket if you have a proper tourist visa to Thailand (some still ask though).
The best is talking with your air career that flies you to Thailand.
You’ll get conflicting answers because of different experiences that others have.
Generally unless you have an extensive history of recent entries or Covid extensions then immigration won’t ask you for a ticket out of Thailand.
The hang up may be with your airline not allowing you to board unless you have one. Less so with an actual tourist visa (over an exempt entry) but they may still insist.
You won’t need it at Thailand immigration. You’ll more then likely need it when boarding the plane at your place or origin. That’s where the majority of people get asked about leaving Thailand within the 30-45 days.
Ask your airline IF they will allow you to fly WITHOUT showing your ticket departing Thailand within the 45 days you are STAMPED in on arrival into Thailand.
That's who may deny you boarding a pass to fly.
Thai Immigration could ask but likely not unless you have been making many recent entries into Thailand.
