For the soft power option

So long as you prove you have 500k bhat, what are the requirements for income proof? Do you need to be making a certain amount?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion surrounds the soft power visa option in Thailand, specifically regarding income proof and requirements. While the general consensus is that there are no strict income requirements for the soft power visa—provided one can prove they have 500,000 baht in their account for three months—some consulates may request documentation to show how individuals intend to support themselves financially. It's advised to check the specific requirements of the embassy applying to, as there could be variations in practice, especially regarding proof of income or financial status.

No income required for soft power. Dont give documents that are not required it will be your downfall. Check in the search bar for the embassy you want to apply. Then find soft power successful and follow what they do. Don't listen to many people here make you confuse

Its just Vietnam that asks for this as far as we can see. They will usually have a further information request asking you to demonstrate how you will support yourself financially. A cover letter explaining your financial circumstances is usually accepted though.

There are no minimum income requirements. I got approved in Taipei with very low income as they would not accept a new contract as I had not been paid from it. They accepted a couple of other part time contracts I had. They want to see income paid into bank accounts.

well, I believe there should be a reasonable amount of money goin into your account. If you got pay a total of 150$ in the past 3 months then it might look suspecious

I see. So if I choose the soft power option, prove I have the required funds, and show that I have had that amount in my account for 3 months, that will work?

it doesn't have to be work, just that you can show you will be able to support yourself. 500k doesn't do that over 5 years

There is no income requirements for the DTV but particularly for soft power the consulate may ask you to show how you can support yourself
