I remember reading about that on here now that you mention it. So I go on the eVisa site there or go to the embassy. I think I read your post that said we aren’t allowed on them in the US, if I recall correctly.

do you know if Vietnam or KL have a Thai Embassy and the ease or difficulty with them? I've read some stories on here about people going to some 'not great' offices. I could do the exemption but was going to do my Retirement Visa upon return but it can wait til next year. Maybe then there will be clarification on the tax implications after 180 days here. Thanks again.

ah. Thank you. I'm on a Non O that expires in a week. Is my only option if I don't go back home a visa exemption when I return? I'm headed to Vietnam for a few weeks, maybe Singapore and Kuala Lumpur if anything is available in those countries if they Thai offices there.

you have to apply for that in your home country? Out of curiosity, why? What would happen if I went on Thailand eVisa site in Vietnam and filled it out? Obviously, if they looked at my passport they would know I'm arriving from a neighboring country, but is it that big of a deal? Just wondering the reasoning behind it. And I was more interested in getting another Non O, but the topic was the METV, kind of the same scenario. Thanks.

is that what TIT means? "This Is Thailand"? I see it posted pretty often and was wondering...

If you use an agent…One Stop Visa Pattaya.

I would think you need to provide both, as they want to see why you will need a METV. I was originally going to get that but opted for the Non O. Can’t remember if it was because the METV was too difficult or not, but it also seems like I read that if they don’t think you need a ME, they will grant a SE but will not refund the difference in the fee paid for the application, so I would include the travel documents for your departure if it allows you upload them. If you haven’t gotten the outbound yet, you may want to ponder the exemption, if you get the 60 day + 30 extension. I don’t like having to book in advance when I don’t know when I want to leave. You may be having fun and want to stay a bit longer before you leave. I don’t see how people book a year ahead for a 2 or 3 week trip with a specific itinerary of 5 different places. I’d rather just play it by ear.

P.S. I’m about to have to have to bounce, and, ironically, I’m headed TO HCMC. How did you like it there? I’ve read a lot of good things and I’m looking forward to the trip.

then it’s the wrong plan. I have Unlimited Ultimate and international is included with the plan. It’s not a plan then you have to add the international plan which is 10 dollars a day. I have not been charged anything extra. I’ll try to find the details.
