these bleeding heart idiots I guess don't understand you have a fiduciary responsibility to the person that HIRED you. And sorry, buy there are mountains of stories of foreigners getting taken advantage of by the country they move to (not just Thailand). A FA gives advice, doesn't force people to take that advice. I would want someone that looks out for ME, not makes it easier for my (what I would assume at that time be), my EX to take advantage of what I acquired over a career that I worked hard for. If in the end, they are still together I'm sure the advice would be different and would entail how the spouse and in laws would be taken care of, but any other scenario, I want to be the one protected. Guess there are plenty of Damocrats in Thailand also...

Happens to me and it usually means Nord connected to a closer server or I didn't wait for Nord to connect. I just disconnect and reconnect in the US. That said, Nord has great Chat assistance, I would try them before coming here.

yeah, good point about immigration, you just never know. Looking forward to Vietnam. Did you bounce around to other cities like Hanoi or Da Nang, or just stayed the whole time in Ho Chi Minh City? And did you figure out a solution on the Visa?

they should be telling you about it. It is their best plan. It's not a secret, it is their top tier plan. Which plan do you have now? The current tiers are Ultimate, the Plus and the Welcome all preceded by Unlimited in the title if tou Google it. Here is something I found on their site...

I remember reading about that on here now that you mention it. So I go on the eVisa site there or go to the embassy. I think I read your post that said we aren’t allowed on them in the US, if I recall correctly.

do you know if Vietnam or KL have a Thai Embassy and the ease or difficulty with them? I've read some stories on here about people going to some 'not great' offices. I could do the exemption but was going to do my Retirement Visa upon return but it can wait til next year. Maybe then there will be clarification on the tax implications after 180 days here. Thanks again.

ah. Thank you. I'm on a Non O that expires in a week. Is my only option if I don't go back home a visa exemption when I return? I'm headed to Vietnam for a few weeks, maybe Singapore and Kuala Lumpur if anything is available in those countries if they Thai offices there.

you have to apply for that in your home country? Out of curiosity, why? What would happen if I went on Thailand eVisa site in Vietnam and filled it out? Obviously, if they looked at my passport they would know I'm arriving from a neighboring country, but is it that big of a deal? Just wondering the reasoning behind it. And I was more interested in getting another Non O, but the topic was the METV, kind of the same scenario. Thanks.
