I was giving an opinion mate, I can't make a decision for someone and in my opinion people who pay to be put in state quarantine, have more money than sense. I'd rather save mine and be able to travel around and explore Thailand for longer but just my opinion. 2 weeks in a hotel makes no sense.

Depends when you are planning to go. You will have to quarantine for 2 weeks when you arrive there as well. So not really worth it, until you have had your vacation and there is quarantine.

you seem like a very bitter and twisted lady. It's our asses at the end of the day we all the same. It's not our fault that certain people decide to have a chip on their shoulder and feel hard done by because of the colour of their skin. I have Thais, Indians, Jamaicans and Iranians in my family so to call me stupid is laughable. History is as its name says. So anyone that still dwells on and uses something as an excuse that happened in a different generation needs re-education.

yes and that is a good excuse to charge astronomical fees for visas and just make up any rules you like. Don't be silly mate they are just taking the piss, I understand the quarantine but everything else is just a little bit over the top. Imagine if the UK was covid free and we started charging people to enter and made them swallow the cost. There would be uproar, so be realistic it's just a way to make money out of farangs stupid and desperate enough to pay the fees end of.

Why is everyone so keen to get back to Thailand, when they are quite clearly taking the absolute piss when it comes to visas and terms of entry. Just wait and look at things in the New year. I love Thailand and have spent thousands there but right now they aren't retuning the love.
