I just flew from the US through United Airlines/Ana a week ago. I was not asked by my airline or the officer in BKK. If they ask, buy a cheap land bus ticket.

agree! Plus, a lot of airlines are doing no change fees for international flights, but I don't think you get it if it's through a third party.

My flight was an early flight, maybe 5:00. It is supposed to open anytime there is an international flight.

I have done it once and I have seen other people doing it. As long as you have all of your paperwork it is super quick and super simple. They were much more lenient about everything.
