 to clarify my question. I am travelling from the uk on TV and will change this to an O visa. My initial question was if this could be done in Samui. This has been answered clearly. I want to know I need to meet the requirements of retirement (eg 800,00 etc) when I apply to change visa type or when I actually apply to extend the O visa

Thanks guys. Apologies, one more question before you close this issue. Do I need to meet the requirements of retirement (eg 800,00 etc) when I apply to change visa type or when I actually apply to extend the O visa. Thanks

 thanks for your response. I have a home and bank account in samui and can meet the financial requirements. I need non O as I intend to extend it for retirement.
