What is the best method for re-entry to Thailand as a US citizen on a Non O retirement visa?

Yes make sure you go to immigration for the reentry permit before you leave. Bring passport photo and copies.

Can I transfer my non-O retirement visa to a new passport if I renew it before my current visa expires?

I got caught by this. Did extension end of May. Passport expires end of February. They only gave extension to February. I could have renewed passport but it was only three weeks to go until visa extension expired so I just took the hit and will have to extend visa in February with new passport.

What Should I Know About Applying for a Multi-Entry Tourist Visa at the Thai Consulate in New York?

I’ve done many visas at the NY consulate. No appointment needed, but you have to drop off your application and paperwork in the morning. They will give you a receipt and tell you to come back the following afternoon to pick it up. Very efficient.
