I am well acquainted with rain and weather and have spent a life of responding to disasters around the world. Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, tornadoes...driven through blizzards. Also aware that canceling trips can cause more economic hardships for areas dependent on visitors. The last half of a decade has been challenging for business owners around the world.

I have that group now...thanks, I appreciate the non-answer answer...I'm a GENX survivor and a mostly laid back person when it comes to travel, my wife is Filipina and if we can get rice at least once a day we are living large...lol. If we have dried fish, that is a party. We have zero expectations...thank you.

We are staying for the 1st week North of the city centre...and I'm not driving...lol. So, just don't want to get out to swim...we do not care if places are closed...this will be our first trip into Northern Thailand and more of an exploratory trip and not necessarily to see all the sites.

So, no problems getting from one side of the river to the other side?
