yes, it should be the flight you intend to take. There is a 72 HR allowance from your planned arrival time to allow for delays/cancellations so check out your flight options arriving in that window
ah, then that may limit your options. Unless you urgently need to get here I'd suggest waiting a little to see how things play out. Being in a small room for 2 weeks with poor quality food and no outside space could prove quite stressful
yes has to be international into Phuket. No transfer in BKK allowed as you have to clear customs at point of arrival. Basically they've reverted back to how things were before November 1st so 7 day sandbox in Phuket is still going. They're very organised there and it genuinely doesn't feel like a "quarantine" at all. If your PCR on arrival comes back negative you are free to roam the whole island as you please
See what airlines are part the same alliance and see if there is a route that works for you with them. Then suggest to the representative you speak with
Legally they can't just offer a voucher, they either need to offer you a refund or endeavour to get you where you want to go with a partner airline. 3 days would not fall into the remit of a delay. Check your rights and then get in phone to customer service and be polite but firm
None will be particularly cheap as they are full board. You'll ideally want something with a balcony as well. Assuming you're vaccinated then 7 day sandbox in Phuket will be better value for you
I think he means new Thai Pass but I assume as you've only booked flight you've not yet done that. As we currently understand things,.it will all be reverting back to how it was before November 1st, so entry via phuket 7 day sandbox will be less onerous method,.as Bangkok will require ASQ. Applications for Thai passes are now closed until January 4th however, and more announcements are expected then. If.youve not had a booster and are eligible for one I'd suggest getting it done asap just in case they change 3 shots to mean fully vaccinated. I purely speculating there but better safe than sorry.
the effects on tourism here are probably more strongly felt when UK puts Thailand on red list. All.they have done so far is suspend new Thailand passes.over Christmas. They'll reassess.on Jan 4th. Those who've sorted their passes already are still going to be allowed entry and the system will open for new applications in one way or another in the new year
apart from the fact that Pattaya is on the mainland so bit trickier keeping people contained. And it wasn't a failure. Numbers were rising steadily. You also have to remember they launched in off season and European summer.
also, tell all my friends in hospitality in UK about being open and people getting on with their lives. A lock down may not have been imposed but there's been enough implication of the consequences of going out that their businesses are being devastated again, at what should be the most profitable time of the year
