yeah, I think you're conflating ASQ with sandbox. ASQ is what unvaxxed have to do and, I've not checked yet, but likely vaxxed will have to do in Bangkok, as that was the setup pre test and go. Those hotels are more expensive as they include the testing and full board. Sandbox is just room only (unless.you want board options)and you're free to roam the island from first negative PCR, which is a out 6 hours after arrival. At end of 7 days you get a clearance form and are free to travel wherever you like.

you don't really know what you're talking about do you? For a 7 day sandbox there will be one extra test. Plenty of sha+ hotels around the $20 mark. I've actually done it so I don't need to revert to spouting nonsense

so you think they should wait until it's as bad as Europe before doing things? Reverting back to Phuket sandbox makes perfect sense. The testing regime is set up very well here and and positive cases can be much easier contained

Downgrade your UK number to the cheapest monthly deal you can (will be about £5 a month). Get a dual SIM phone (pretty much any phone that's not apple or Samsung nowadays) then you can have your Thai number and UK number active at same time

Check the spots that did the official sandbix tests. They had 5 or 6 around the island. The central florists one is still there so I assume the others are. They seem to be the best value and do walkis with quick response times
