Need IDP….cheap to get before arriving and will give u peace of mind while driving. Renting would be best for only a 2 months stay. When u go thru a police check they will fine for no IDP and helmet 1000 baht. Look around as prices vary…make sure u get a good newer bike with newer tires ( check for bald tires..it does rain even in peak season ) Also prices will double come November as rental agencies get greedy. Use to rent for 2500 baht a month for newer click 160 and come peak season they want 5000 baht a month. For 2 months u should be able to negotiate a better deal …just look around there’s so many rental places

Best to just go to the immigration office and ask/explain or get done when u want as it will vary with the office and or immigration officer. Make sure you check ur extension dates BEFORE u leave the office to make sure they actually extended from the end of ur initial 30 day. It’s 1900 baht or approximately 74 Loonies. Btw Phuket just opened a Tim Hortons if u make it over here lol ! Enjoy.

AirAsia suck. Owe a lot of $$ to a lot of people. Would suggest to book :

1. Always with a credit card. My credit card refunded my Covid flights after I requested….I did wait patiently several months first but finally decided to get my credit card company involved.

2. Would suggest u book with AGODA. They are the cheapest for hotels and started flights few years ago and are very competitive …cheaper than booking with the airline direct a lot of the times. The other good thing is they have a user friendly app to make changes and accessible customer service agents via toll free phone call or email should u need to talk with them. You will never get ahold of an AirAsia customer service agent. Just read the details of the flights with Agoda as they vary with the airlines…some include checked baggage and other so not.

I use visa for visa exempt. My bad but I did say she can get visa exempt 30 day entry. She doesn’t need a visa. She’s visa exempt as she stated. Not sure why people are telling her to get a 30 day tourist visa when she’s visa exempt…unless I’m missing something.

She arrived visa exempt …no reason why she can’t do the same again.

I know but she said she arrived on visa exempt 30 day so I don’t understand why she can’t do the same as her initial entry. No need for a visa if her passport allows 30 days visa exempt?

Idk where ur from but if ur passport allows visa exempt 30 day tourist visa…which u received when u first arrived….then u can fly in again and get a 30 day tourist visa…and then extend for 30

Days for 1900 baht if u want to stay longer. You should have a onward flight booked for leaving either after ur 30 or 60 days if ur renewing

Gordon Kilpatrick all new bikes will have a new red plate until 2-3 months when the white one comes in after the dealership registers. Not sure what Kool Bree’s is smoking …

Liana Tieri once you leave and return it’s the same as when u originally entered…meaning u can go to immigration and apply for another 30 day extension. However if they see you are only gone for a day or two then you may have problems as it’s only a matter of time before immigration sees ur leaving and coming right back. Remember I believe you can only stay in Thailand for 180 days total per year , can enter on land border only twice and air is unlimited I believe but you must always be on the correct visa …meaning tourist , education , work etc. sooner or later things get noticed . I’m not 100 percent on the above info but I’m sure someone else here can confirm. If immigration suspects ur working and that’s the reason for ur border runs u will have a problem. If ur just looking to stay for 4 months then a border run and extension is fine but if ur planning longer than that sooner or later u will get noticed. Personally I’d rather fly and explore another country for a month and then return….instead of just going somewhere for a border run or a few days. Good luck

You don’t need an agency. Look on Agoda ( flights and hotels ). Trip is also good for cheap flights and find someplace that ur visa free to go and then come back In a few days. Usually Kuala Lumpur is cheap and a short 1.5 hr flight. Normally less than $100 return but ur booking short notice so will be more probably.
