BTW, Samui hands out checklists for each visa type and my paperwork was for retirement visa and my wife’s for Dependence visa extension. Less paperwork had to be filed for her, no requirement for proof of bank account. However in my pile they wanted proof for two times 800 K.

after 90 days when the visa she got in Penang Malaysia ran out she applied for extension with proof of funds and was given until my visa extension was up for renewal

When her passport ran out we went to Penang and they gave her a new 90 days based on marriage to me
