can you go to Laos by land? If not will need to fly to Myanmar as land borders closed to foreigners. Will also need evisa for Myanmar. $50 or so

yes and no. I was away from Bangkok for a long weekend and thought to extend at a quieter immigration office. Anyhow have figured out long ago that Land of Smiles doesn't apply at the immigration office

I am not disagreeing with you, but I extended when out of Bangkok, and Bangkok immigration made me renew my TM30 when I attempted to extend again In Bangkok
