Most exchange places in Asia only accept the "blue stripe" 100 usd bills. And if they are worn, have stamps or hand writing on them they will not take those too except some places that offer less than normal exchange rate for those bills. ALWAYS only bring spankling new dollar bills in most of Asia and be careful to store them well so they keep on looking new.....
For a fixed term deposit account funds can be withdrawn immediately but no interest will be paid if withdrawal is done before the duration of the term. Many retirees use fixed term deposit account for the 800k deposit....
Only need to complete tax return in Thailand if you have an income you want to declare. And there is currently no requirement from immigration to see proof of tax filing when applying for a visa, extending visa, entering or leaving Thailand. I think your posts could potentially put some people off from coming to Thailand which is the reason I replied.....
Where does it say that DTV visa holders staying more than 180 days in a year MUST complete the PND94? As far as I know there is still no immigration requirements for this when extending a 180 days stay ( or re entering for another 180 days in Thailand) for this filing yet.....?
