Note this only applies if you go through Dep Gate 2 where the re entry booth is.
As others have commented, you’ll otherwise have to go wait in the normal immigration queue, let them know you need a re-entry permit when they’re stamping you out, and then back track to Gate 2, which will add time & stress to the whole process.
unless you’re very unlucky and they’re on a short break.
It’s actually a great way to go through immigration faster, as you don’t have to stand in the regular long queue, so this will likely work in your favour.
Fly domestic to BKK. Just bring enough cash, go to the little re-entry booth (far left / past last queue), pay (it’s a few hundred baht extra if you don’t have a passport photo), get handed back a file with completed form etc., drop it off at the little re-entry office just behind the immigration officers stamping people out, wait for your name/number to be called and then you’ll usually get sent to the nearest immigration officer to be stamped out (ie don’t go to the back of the regular queue). It’s pretty self explanatory once you’re there, and you may get a little extra help if you explain the rush.
I’ve done this multiple times, most recently 2.5 months ago. Safe travels! ❤️
Thanks Daniel but not looking to enter into a where is "home" discussion 🙏 My Non-B renewal is delayed due to factors outside my control so I am looking for a way to buy a little time.
