Which European embassies have issued visa extension letters please?

I received a reply from the Dutch embassy stating that " as an embassy, we cannot issue a letter In that, we follow the policy of other EU embassies" however my understanding is other embassies have in fact been issuing letters in certain cases?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the issuance of visa extension letters by various European embassies during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Dutch embassy has declined to issue such letters, other embassies, particularly those from Canada and Australia, provide support under specific conditions. Some participants mention inconsistent experiences with British and Ukrainian embassies, highlighting confusion and inconsistency in policies across different embassies.

I do believe they are (it’s their job after all) under specific circumstances. Doubt the poster was here on a tourist exemption, and had outlined a specific case for them to issue. The parameters should be simple, if you wish to stay (fundamental to a free nation), our embassy should sup port them. I did resolve my situation long term, but feel for those wishing to stay and not being well supported by our embassy

You can only use a letter from an embassy your passport is issued by, so it makes no difference what other embassies do in your situation.

why EU should do letters - flights are going home - no Covid19 extreme situation - only way ED, Volunteeer Visa - or a medical certificate for 30-90 days -

maybe you misunderstood - i just gave you the embassy view - if you want to stay and not a an embassy letter - you havs these options - ED or Volunteer visas - via agency - pricey - or a medical certificate for

/90 days - you should hurry -
