Is the re-entry permit service at DMK Airport open 24/7 and can you be refused a permit?

Re-entry permit DMK

1) Is it open 24/7?

2) Are they ever refused?

Trying to decide whether to play it safe and apply at immigration beforehand but as this would involve a ferry ride, would prefer to do it at the airport. (Single entry non imm b visa)

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The re-entry permit service at DMK Airport is open 24/7, and it is generally easy to obtain. Refusal may only occur under specific circumstances, such as if your visa is expiring on that day. It is noted that re-entry permits can be single or multiple; the latter requires application at the immigration office where a visa extension was granted.

and on that note (and after I deleted a comment that was not related to getting a re-entry permit at the airport BEFORE you fly out I think
@Isab****
has enough information to decide what to do.

Good Luck (y)

Remember, a re-entry permit does not add any days on to your original 90 day entry stamp that you got when you arrived on the single entry Non-B.

All it does is keep that stamp 'alive' so that when you return to thailand you're stamped in until that same expiration date.

- I’m aware, thank you.

Re-entry permits come in single and multiple re-entry. Single permits cannot be used more than once, multiple re-entry permits let you use it as often as you like. Multiple re-entry permits are only available at the immigration office that issued the extension of stay. The airport booths are open

and anyone can use them.

- great, thank you for the info. Currently on a 3 month non-b and need to pop out for a wedding so I think a single entry will be all that’s needed!

@Rob *****
?? Not true. You can get a multiple re-entry permit at the airport as well
Tod *********
that is incorrect :/ You can buy a single or multiple re-entry permit at both Don Mueang & Suvarnabhumi.

1) Yes,

2) The only reason I think you could be refused is if your visa were expiring today or something like that. I'm not aware of other reasons, but I may be wrong. I have done it several times at DMK and BKK and always found it quick and easy (quicker and easier than a trip to Chaengwattana)
