if you are an American person, you are (for all practical purposes) a permanent tax resident, despite being able to claim FEI. Somewhere, someone considers you a tax resident regardless of your passport 😂

What does it mean to register as a world traveler? I’m Dutch and have been fighting with the Dutch government for years because they have no such recognition.

Where does he pay his taxes, if not the Netherlands ?  everyone has a tax residency somewhere, and it will depend if that country has an agreement with Thailand …

it’s not a fair point at all. It’s a silly idea… using an agent to try to circumvent basic visa requirements for the DTV is a fool’s errand.

Uh, yes you can. That’s why you can use soft power or any other method. If you don’t work remote or have 500k thb, then you shouldn’t be applying for the DTV under workation…. Neither will agents allow you to cheat and put themselves at risk by pretending to be your employer or lie for you.

Anonymous participant you have to apply from the country you’re in. If you go to a different country to apply, then you’ll just produce bank accounts from your home country, but they may ask for some additional evidence they are real if they doubt authenticity.

With an agent you’re actually going to do more work than on your own… it’s not just more expensive, it’s more annoying too
