Just been told, in Penang, I can only apply for a visa with the passport that has a stamp in to country. Where would you apply with no problems?

Not really true. Until last year citizen of myanmar were issued with purple passport (only for thailand) as my husband had one. For past few months burmesse are issued with green one (more like Id for thailand )as my husband has one like that now. Also they can apply for international passport which is red.
