what’s your problem pal? I replied to Tods comment recommending the OP do a one year extension, with my experience at Chiang Mai immigration. I stated that I was NOT allowed to to do the one year extension until my one year, OVISA was due to expire. It was you that asked what I currently have in my passport, I didn’t mention my status until you asked.

it’s relevant as it was recommended he get a one year extension, which goes back to my point regarding the refusal at chiang mai immigration.

at the time I had a one year o, based on marriage. I later extended it for one year, with multiple entry re-entry permit. But was knocked back on a previous attempt to do the one year extension. I’m going to work soon

Overaeas, and the one year extension will I’ll expire while I’m away. So I’m guessing the best bet, is to apply for a single

Entry O visa and then I can do the one year extension on that?

@Benjamin *****
ok, I’ll try that myself if true, but in the past, Chiang Mai immigration have refused to do this until the visa is close to the one year expiry date.

hi, it’s my understanding, that if you have a one year OVISA multiple entry for example, based on marriage or having kids with a Thai. You can only apply for the one year extension when the visa is close to expiry, not anytime during its validity. At least that’s the case in Chiang Mai.
