that's good then. But having grown up as a child, between Penang and Singapore maybe my senses were spoilt. And yes the jungle is lush. On future visa trips you could consider the lesser known 'Wang Prachan Boundary Post' near pedang besar, situated within an actual national park, I forget the name. The approaching 90-120 minutes drive is really enjoyable. Also the drive to Rayong, again the final 90-120 mins, firstly through durian farms along the top of the ridge of mountain, then into lush rainforest and national park. Stay over on the Rayong side. Some interesting accommodations, a botanical gardens, military compounds, memorials and museums, and some interesting buildings scattered about the town. And you are the only white man in town. I was disappointed with Langkawi, and wouldn't recommend it, but that's just my opinion of course. The man made features of buildings and infrastructure, from resorts to private homes, and shops and restaurants, had absolutely no consideration put into it, all very bland, lacking any creativity or design. more concrete than I'd imagined. Horrible advertising everywhere, huge billboards and banners, with no consideration for its situation, clashing colours and themes. Nothing cute, or quaint, or cool. There won't be any interior or exterior design ideas you'd want to take home with you.

I would check that it is still an active sea border. I went to enter to koh Lipe via langkawi last August and it still was not opened up after covid.

Mind blowing. Especially thailand, where when the going gets tough, it can make a grown man cry. And when you hear "Ooh I don't like spicy food" !! And complaining of 'the heat' or 'the traffic'. I'm just dealing with my on/off psycho exgirlfriend, kindly cat-sitting at my villa, sending me photos of her bloodied face, where she slipped while climbing to look into the water storage tanks investigating the lack of water to the taps, landing on her face, her teeth cutting right through her lip, in the area underneath the villa that I know the snakes love, including a 3 meter python, which must've taken a few of the 8 kittens I've lost in two years, others savaged by street dogs, or at best, dying from a horrible virus. Meanwhile I've just been grilled for an hour by immigration officers on arrival at BKK about my comings and goings, where I have had to fly out/in as my previous visa expired today, and I'm yet to collect my Elite visa sticker, so had to fly to Malaysia and back so had to prove my financials, source of income, Elite membership, and justify some overstay stamps to allow me entry. My exgirlfriehd has a friend of hers coming, at midnight, to get the water running again, after spending the evening crying and tending her wounds. I'll grab a hotel in bkk and head back down to samui tomorrow. And all that just today. Today is a quiet day. A good day. I've only been gone just over 48 hours. But yeah, you bring your 18 month old baby, and your dog, the two very last things I'd want around me here, and see how you like it. Oh and my fridge has stopped working again. 🥳

ah, OK. I assumed so, as I'd heard this mentioned a few times in recent years. I thought it maybe just the one agency with close ties. And I guess they are still limited in what they can achieve, depending on the individual, the history, the offending matter and of course the IO on the day ? Knowledge is power, Todd 👊
