I would like to go to Thailand 3 times a year, in February 28 days, in June 29 days and in November 29 days, my flight is always from Belgium to Bangkok, is this possible without a visa? Or would immigration make it difficult to come 3 times a year with a stamp on arrival?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling to Thailand three times a year from Belgium with stays totaling less than 90 days appears feasible under the visa exemption policy. Multiple community members shared experiences suggesting this approach is typically acceptable as long as stays are vacation-related and not designed to circumvent immigration rules. It is advisable to be prepared for potential questions at immigration but, overall, many have reported no issues. To ensure compliance, consider applying for a visa for the last visit, which can easily be done online.

I go to Thailand every 9-10 weeks for about 3 weeks and 6 weeks at Xmas time. Never been questioned

@Tony ********
do you always do that without a visa? So just with a stamp on arrival?

@Marc ***
yes mate I enter on Visa Exemption all the time
Jack ********
Can you apply for visa online to see if they accept or decline you?

With the short stays and time in between you should be fine

Can't see any problem here . You may get asked a question or two at Immigration , but you are obviously a tourist and not attempting to live in Thailand on a tourist entry free stamp .
David ********
No problem. I did that each year. You are a good tourist only on holidays no playing with th system.
Mark *******
What is the definition of a ' good tourist?' And how long does a tourist need to stay to be a tourist? I've been to Thailand multiple times,always on holiday, sometimes for weeks,months,and took a career break when I stayed there for a total of 10 months. Obviously exiting the country on frequent occasions. I recently spent 8(returned to the UK in February this year)months there,doing several border runs,was then permitted to do so on three occasions per annum. And I do know if travelling by air there are no limitations on arrivals,as quoted by the Thai Embassy. Being the 5th biggest industry in the Thai economy,tourism generates a lot of income for the Thai Government. Something I would suggest they would rather not do without!

Doesn’t he need to fill in the DTAC visa anyway?

@Derrick *******
the TDAC is not a visa. It's an arrival card. It has nothing to do with visas.

@Brandon ***********
oh right.. I didn’t know that.. everybody has to fill that in right?
Brandon ************
@Derrick *******
yes. Anyone that's not Thai
Steven ******
You should be fine. My work rotation has me away from Thailand for a month and then in Thailand for a month. I've been asked questions a few times but I've always been able to provide the correct answers. I think they are more interested in the people that spend most of the year in Thailand using border bounces and extensions.

Zero issues

You would probably be okay. But to be sure just get a visa for the last visit. It’s easy to do online.

I did what you intend to do for two consecutive years. No problem. But officer has discretion so beware.
Mark *******
Discretion only within the regulations they have to follow. Can't make their own rules up!
Jesper *******
It seems your trips are of genuine tourist calibre and not abusing the system to long stay in thailand you shd be fine
Brandon ************
It's more about how long you spend in Thailand than it is about how many times you go to Thailand. All of your trips combined is less than 90 days. That shouldn't be any problem.

every time I go will never be longer than 30 days, the 3 times I would like to go will indeed never be more than 90 days in a year, so if I understand correctly I can safely assume that I will never have any problems

I have been going to Thailand for 25 years, but only for 3 weeks each year. I was there in February this year and then I could leave Thailand again via an automatic gate and I did not have to go to the immigration officer, so I thought that arriving in Thailand would be the same
Brandon ************
@Marc ***
The automated exit gates have been in place long before the TDAC was implemented.
Brandon ************
@Marc ***
no one can tell you that. Every entry is at the discretion of the immigration officer you are standing in front of. If one of them is having a bad day they might want to make your day bad too. But nothing in your plans is a normal red flag for entry.
Mark *******
Immigration Officers are government professionals,personal opinions and mood don't come into it! Or certainly shouldn't do! I was a Prison Officer for 24 years,so experienced similar!
Mark *******
And what keeps seeming to be missed on these posts,with the constant harping on about the "discretion of the Immigration Officer!" Is that the discretion only stretches as far as abiding by the Immigration law, which they have to obey! Plus someone mentioned that there is no Immigration law,absolute crap! Every country in the world has rules and regulations of whom can enter their country; otherwise it would be chaos and a total breakdown in law and order! And unfortunately a few undesirables have managed to enter and stay in Thailand,over the years. That is quite evident when visiting Pattaya for example. Maybe the Thai authorities should concentrate more on dealing with them,than law abiding visitors!?

now that since May 1st you have to register 3 days before arrival via TDAC (Thailand digital arrival card) do you still have to pass an immigration officer upon arrival? I didn't think so, I thought this should be completely automatic, is this correct?
Marianne ********
@Marc ***
No, this is not automatic.

The TDAC is just something extra to use for your screening. You still need to go through the Immigration, and show your passport to the officers there.
Brandon ************
@Marc ***
have you ever traveled to Thailand before? When they handed out the entry cards on the plane to fill out? The TDAC is the exact same thing, just done online. It has nothing to do with whether you see an immigration officer or not. You will definitely see an immigration officer, same as everyone else. Only exiting Thailand has automated gates
John **********
@Marc ***
there is no difference to the entry procedure. You still present your passport to the immigration officer and he decides whether to let you in or not. The TDAC is nothing to do with that
Phil ******
@Marc ***
no everyone except Thais have to complete the TDAC.
