As long as it's a legit business, where you own it and can work from anywhere. I don't see how that would prevent you from getting approved.

Probably easiest would be going soft power track.

If you wanna try with investing/trading maybe showing regular flows from same broker would help. Try contacting embassy of your choice for answer.

Being a personal investor handling your own funds isn’t considered remote, digital work under the DTV. If you have a registered company that can certify you account management as a digital nomad you’ll probably be ok.

plain and simple, as long as you work outside of Thailand (no Thai clients), you are categorized as “remote worker” if you are in DTV visa status.

You can apply as a remote worker as a personal investor. Just follow along with their instructions.

Yes. I'm also thinking that way. Because I don't get my benefit from Thailand at all. The basic on the meaning of DTV is the government want us bring outside country money to spend their country

I can get the money from stocks without to have a company. If I have to open a company and then hire myself, it's too tricky. But I know sometimes rules in Thailand is tricky. 5555

You need a company to do so. If you formed a sole proprietorship or other form of company you’re surely welcome to apply. Otherwise you aren’t working and therefore don’t qualify. Those are the instructions.

right. You’ll have to provide company data proving you are employed and authorized to work remotely. If you’re doing it for yourself only, that doesn’t count as “remote work”.

If you “work” as a freelancer providing none-institutionalized investing “advice” that’s most likely considered illegal and will earn you a lightening fast application rejection.

Anonymous participant no, its irrelevant, DTV holders are not Thai income tax exempt. all visa classes are taxable as of 1st jan.
