Hi everyone,

I would like to ask what is the ruling on visa/which visa should I  apply if I am buying a condo in BKK. Is there any specific visa type?

Who would ask about your visa.when buying condo.know the solicitor when I bought only wanted money order.dont even think needed passport.

understood - so I have to invest 10M BHAT in Pattaya in order to buy an Elite visa and invest more in BKK. :)

You can buy the Thai Elite Visa and than buy a condo, no need for special investment.

I believe you can buy a condo even visa exempt entry... regarding to only buying part...

Thailand Elite has a condo project in Pattaya, which will get you a visa if you buy in, but you are restricted to the one project in Pattaya, ONLY. But IF you applied for a Thailand Elite visa, you can remain here long term and buy ANY condo(s) you like in Thailand.

I do not know how much the investment amount for the Pattaya project requires. But if you buy into that project and receive the Elite visa, you can remain in Thailand long term without leaving the country to apply for a new visa. You may also invest in other condo projects anywhere in Thailand.

Because that was the project where Thailand Elite made special arrangements with the developer to offer visa privileges in conjunction / partnership with the property...

IF you go the Investment Visa route @ 10 MB, the Condo must be brand new and purchased from the developer directly, buying second-hand will not qualify.

IF you spend 10 MILLION baht on a condo you can qualify for an investment visa.
