Canadian passeport. First trip in Thailand for 140 days. Arrived at Phuket airport last november 24 th and received 45 days exemption. Later: extention for 30 in Phuket Town. On january 30th did visa bounce at land border Satun/ Malaisia from Koh Samui with an agency. I now need an extension on that 45 days exemption.

Flight planned this friday from Bangkok Don Mueang airport to Krabi as travelling to Koh Lanta.

Is there an immigration office at Don Mueang airport where I could ask an extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeking to extend their 45-day visa exemption after arriving in Thailand wonders if they can obtain an extension at Don Mueang Airport. Responses from the community indicate that there is no immigration office at the airport for extensions, advising the user to visit a local immigration office such as the one at IT Square Laksi Plaza in Bangkok or to obtain the extension in Krabi.

I believe Nathalie has good helpful advice and knows her options.

We wish her success in obtaining the 30 day extension of stay.

No. Immigration offices at airports don't do extensions. You NEED to go to IT Square Laksi Plaza temporary office to get 30 days tourism extension on your visa-exempt entry, if you mean you are in Bangkok currently.

this is what you're likely to need to get an extension at MOST offices

Nope no immigration office at the airport ๐Ÿ˜•

How about saying where you are in thailand now?

I'd say get the 30 day extension at the immigration office that serves the area where you stay BEFORE you fly up here,

OR

wait until you get to Krabi and get it there (there's no immigration office on Koh Lanta)

It's just there are over 80 offices in the country

If you wanna know what it's like getting an extension in Krabi (which is a small office) just post on one of their groups and ask ๐Ÿ™‚ someone will definitely answer you with how it'd done there

Believe me you sure aren't the first foreigner to want an extension from their office ๐Ÿ˜›

Thank you for accepting my question.

I am in Bangkok at hotel Baan Wanglang Riverside at other side of the river from the Grand Palace

@Nathalie *******
then get the print out that you're registered as staying at that hotel (the TM30 screen grab) go to the IT Square Laksi Plaza 3rd floor and get your 30 day extension for 1900baht before you fly out.

There are copy shops next to the immigration office

You would go here in Bangkok

@Nathalie *******
there are copy shops next to the immigration office and they have the forms you need to fill out in baskets at the immigration office when you see the officers to get a queue.

No, you need to go to your local office and apply.
