Hello,

Me and my wife are shareholders of a company and we submitted our business documents. We simply sent same documents with my wife they did not want any additional employment contract for her, while they wanted from me. As I am the 50% shareholder of the company. Should I write an employment contract directly to myself. Can anyone help ?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a 50% shareholder, questions whether they should draft an employment contract for themselves after their wife, a fellow shareholder, was not asked for such a document. Community members suggest that an employment contract and relevant employment certificate for working in Thailand is necessary, while cautioning against conducting business in Thailand without legal assistance.

Please, do not start a business without a fair lawyer willing to help. Do you want to end up like 90% of foreigners losing their business investments?

Yes, employment contract and certificate. The certificate stating you are currently employed and able to work remotely specifically in Thailand.
