What are the ways to live in Thailand for a long time as an expat?
Hi. I'm from Iran. I have got a question. How can i live in Thailand for long time. Thank you.
Answer summary
To live long-term in Thailand, options include obtaining a Thai Elite Visa (which requires a financial investment), marrying a Thai national, or securing a work permit, especially as an English teacher. Another possibility is applying for an education visa for studying or volunteering in the country.

Well for one, remember to wear a mask at all times. Mask wearing has become the state religion of Thailand.

I read that Thailand are (belatedly) scrapping mask rules in most places from mid June.

No it's not. You obviously haven't been to Thailand during Covid. Thailand plans to make mask wearing permanent and 99% of the population have been wearing them continuously since March 2020.

You should be able to get a job as an English teacher, Thailand has a push to hire a number of teachers now. Also many people get a Volunteer Visa or an education visa to learn Thai.
