Hello , we have a question , hopefully someone can help us with the right answer . The case is : Via our Embassy we can apply for the Non O visa , one of the requirements financial is the proof of income 65.000 THB . Our visa consultant tells us that enough to show them .

Asume everything is accepted, we are now entering Thailand , will they accept us on the same proof of income ? Or will they demand to have the 800.000 THB on our just opened Thaibank account to get our one year extension ? I could nowhere find a satisfying answer 🤔

I want to prevent that I don’t have access to my money , I’d rather invest it in Bitcoin .

TLDR : Answer Summary
The visa holder needs to clarify the requirements for extending their Non O visa upon entering Thailand. While the embassy may require proof of income of 65,000 THB, for the visa extension, Thai immigration mandates either embassy verified income or proof of 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account. If the embassy does not provide income verification, the option to show proof of funds in a bank account becomes necessary.

Does your embassy in Thailand provide income verification?

Once you enter Thailand, there are only two things you can use for the first 1-year extension.

1) Embassy verified income of 65,000 baht per month

2) Proof of 800,000 baht in your Thai bank account

If your embassy does not do income verification (many do not), then your ONLY option would be proof of 800,000 baht in your Thai bank account.
