TLDR : Answer Summary
Thai nationals looking to live and work in the UK need to obtain a suitable visa, such as a work permit or a partner visa. The UK government provides extensive information on visa options and requirements. Key points include the need for a minimum salary, which is approximately £18,000 for certain visas. Options such as the spouse or fiancé visa include the right to work, while the Tier 2 shortage occupation visa may be available if the applicant meets specific criteria. The process can be costly and complex. Additionally, comments highlighted cultural and lifestyle adjustments for Thai nationals moving to a colder climate.
No, they can come to ur country and get whatever visa they like, but u can't visit their country unless u r willing to go through their overwhelming bureaucracy. In other words, if u are Thai, u r not good enough to visit their land.
Having got my Thai wife here i can tell you its ruddy expensive. My advice get her over the English Channel in one of the many boats, its much cheaper. Then you get everything for free.
It would depend on their situation and what visa would be best for them to come to the UK to live and work. All of the information is on the UK govt web site you or they should go there and look up what options there would be. It is neither easy or cheap for a Thai national to move to the UK with the right to work. A spouse or fiancé visa would include right to work or other than that the most likely option would be a tier 2 shortage occupation visa as long as they meet the criteria for that.
