TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, Thai nationals returning from the UK are required to quarantine upon entering Thailand. Unlike non-nationals who must stay in ASQ hotels, Thai nationals are typically directed to government quarantine centers, which are different facilities for their stay. It's important to be aware of these regulations, as all persons entering Thailand must adhere to quarantine protocols regardless of their country of origin.

Thai will be arranged to stay for free at state quarantine hotel or local quarantine hotel. Foreigners stay at different hotel from Thai.
Simple, if anyone come from outside Thailand, quaratine is needed.

I have a Thai national friend who had spent the last year in USA that just finished quarantine a week ago. I have to assume it would be the same for a Thai coming from UK.
I am pretty sure you are correct. The one difference, I think? Is that a Thai national can quarantine at a Thai facility or one of the expensive Bangkok quarantine hotels.. My understanding is that non Thais can only use the hotels. I have no idea what they are going to do with migrant workers...
My wife and I landed in Bangkok on Saturday 26th. I am in the grand richmond Hotel which I pay for. She is in a dump in pattaya that is paid by the Thai government. It is no fun but it safe for the whole country. The scary thing is that 3 people from my plane in have now been confirmed positive despite passing test 72hrs before flying. More will inevitably fail. Flying is extremely dangerous so only sensible to insist on 14 day quarantine
Ken Mackey “3 people from my plane in have now been confirmed positive despite passing test 72hrs before flying.” Sounds like a crock. That PCR test could make Mother Theresa out to be a serial killer. It’s not fit for purpose which even it’s creator warned.
that is scary, especially if the Thai national is travelling alone as they could be paired in state quarantine with a stranger for 14 days who has the infection. Could end up being a death sentence or an ICU stay

All single rooms in Thai nationals accommodation. On the plane there were empty seats between all passengers. The Thai embassy were great and issued masks, visors and gloves to all. We certainly wore all the way

Yes. Everyone entering Thailand has to quarantine no matter what their country of origin (and let's face it, the UK doesn't have the best record on COVID control)
yes i think i may write a post later on hardships getting back in, lot of people dont realise the difficulties. My mate yesterday needs do urgent buisness in Singapore and he is like no problem doing quarantine, he didnt realise how hard it is to be able to get to that stage
