TLDR : Answer Summary
A British citizen living in New Zealand or Australia can apply for a tourist visa to Thailand through the nearest Thai embassy or consulate. It's important to note that during the pandemic, travelers may be required to undergo a 15-day quarantine upon arrival in Thailand. Additionally, non-Australian citizens can also apply for Thai visas at Australian consulates. For further assistance, legal services are available for visa applications.

I'd say you would need to be keen to go through 15 days quaratine just to get in unless you're visiting for a while .I'm here already didn't come back to Syd in March
