What should I do with my retirement visa when renewing my passport and returning to Thailand?
I have retirement visa and will me going back to my country and we'll there renewing my passport, when I return to thailand or before I leave is there something I need to do for this as when returning my visa stamp and re-entry permit will be in my expired passport and the new passport will be empty?
Answer summary
When traveling back to Thailand with a retirement visa in an expired passport, it is essential to carry both the expired passport (with the visa stamp) and the new passport. Upon arrival in Thailand, you will need to visit the immigration office to transfer your visa and entry stamp from the old passport to the new one. Additionally, ensure that you have obtained a re-entry permit to present upon returning. This process will help avoid any complications related to your visa status.

Get a re-entry permit too. Present it on the old PP when you return. Good luck!

You carry both passports with you to enter Thailand. Then once you are in Thailand you go to your immigration office and get your extension and entry stamp transferred to your new passport.
