Hi, I just received my new passport from VFS in Bangkok. I was told I need to transfer my current visa stamp to this and given the correct paper to do this from the British embassy.

My question is as my stamp is a spouse visa stamp and was done in Pattaya am I able to get the stamp transferred in Bangkok (presuming Chaengwattana) or do I need to go back to Pattaya immigration?

Also, what would the process be and cost?

Thanks in advance 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on transferring a spouse visa stamp from their old passport to a new passport issued by VFS in Bangkok, specifically asking if the transfer can be done at the Chaengwattana immigration office or if they must return to Pattaya. They also inquire about the process and associated costs. Responses indicate that it is possible to transfer the visa in Bangkok if the proper paperwork (including TM30 for address change) is filed, and the service is generally free.

Since then I changed my address to our home (Thai wife name) in Bangkok at Changwattana

They have the form you need to fill out at the information desk, just ask for it.

The image I posted of the required copies are from the back of that form :P

(y) In that case you should be able to go to Chaengwattana to get the stamps transferred ..

If you used to live in Pattaya and now live in Bangkok, you or your land lord should have filed a TM30 at the immigration office here in Bangkok showing your new address here. In that case you can take BOTH passports and the letter that came with the new passport saying you got a new passport in thailand to Chaengwattana and get the extension stamp and entry stamp moved to the new passport. The service is free and you need copies of these things to do it

The REAL question is did you go in person and get the yearly extension based on marriage to a thai from the Jomtien Immigration office OR did you give your passport to an agency and pay them to get that extension for you?

That's gonna make a HUGE difference on what you need to do.

the latter. Paperwork was done through an agent. I just turned up to sign.
