Is TM30 filing for domestic travel still required at this time, or is it also in abeyance as if covered under the amnesty?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 filing is still required for domestic travel in Thailand, despite recent rule changes stating that if you are returning to a registered address, you do not need to re-apply. However, enforcement may vary by immigration office.
I do know. I also know that in the public opinion there is still the irrational fear of foreigners transmitting the virus. And they can track locations of foreigners easily and make a good public show out of it. Anyways my response was not about today, but about the requirements ever since the amnesty stuff started.
they did amend the regulation to stipulate that people on long stay extensions OR multi-entry visas who have a TM30 filed at their primary address do not need to re-file when comin' back into the country. BUT I didn't see where it say anything about inter provincial travel so that throws it back on the immigration office you deal with as far as what they interpret the rule to be. :(
AFAIK, the TM30 was never part of the amnesty dealy. BUT they recently changed the rules and stated IF you are returning to the address where you have a TM30 filed you do no need to re-apply.
I would still check with your immigration office because it's a brand new rule change and they might do something different
