Just got back into Thailand, are TM 30s still required? If they are is this still basically what is needed? Just trying to make sure that if I'm making the journey to Immigration it won't be just a practice a run. :-)

Copies of:

-Lease

-Pages of my passport (signed)

-Visa

-Entry stamp

-TM6 departure card

-Copy of Ta-bien baan (signed by owner)

-Copy of Owner’s ID (signed by owner)

Am I missing anything? Is there a cost involved, I can't remember anymore. Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 is still required when returning to Thailand. To file it, ensure you have the following documents: a signed copy of your lease, pages of your passport (including the visa and entry stamp), TM6 departure card, a signed copy of the Ta-bien baan, and a signed copy of the owner's ID. There's no fee for filing the TM30. If you’ve already filed a TM30 for your current residence, you may not need to do it again.

No cost to file report

You can self-file a TM30 in Bangkok. Tod Daniels made a post about how to do it in Bangkok. I’m not on my computer so I can’t share it 😞

If you do a search for TM30 self file, posted by Tod Daniels, it will come up.

If you have it already for that place no need to do it again

In BKK, you need to submit when you re-enter Thailand.

IMHO, anyway better to submit since you have different TM6 number.

no you don't, at all. If you've been previously registered at an address for a TM30 it does not need to be refiled when you return even if you've been overseas. The rules changed in June last year.

It is just "general rule".

Actual implementation is differ to each immigration offices. Some provinces require you to submit even after inter-province travel.

each immigration office has their own policy. Bangkok require the TM30 to be filed as normal.

Yeah, I’m curious about that. I know typically hotels will submit info about us and our stay. Being in quarantine for 14days caused me to think about the TM 30. I also some have friends that have never done a TM 30 and are trying to get everything together.

@Shane *******
hotels will either submit it online OR in person, or in other ways immigration offices ask them
