You may save a lot if they allow high deductible. That being said, I bought from Mister Prakan, Aetna, last year, I’m not on OA so didn’t need for visa. Was ฿300K I patient, small OP coverage, almost no accident and emergency. ฿24k/age 66. This year, no claims, ฿32k. I dropped it. You may get priced out of the market in a couple years.
Pacific Cross offers high deductible up to a 300,000 Thai baht deductible. Reducing annual premium by approx. 50%

....and a renewable policy until death do you part? The only viable option to staying long-term here is to have an established policy from your home country, that covers you world-wide indefinitely. Not many enjoy such a benefit. Otherwise "Father-Time" will rule you out of the game and you will have to return to your home country.

That's for an "O-A" Visa. Looks like a dead-end visa for the old folks.
But if you renew your visa, you have to have one of the approved companies. You can only get insurance from your home country for the first year.

Have a look at a recent post on an expat with a retirement visa who questioned an IO officer and was told insurance insurance wasnt needed for existing visa holders!
It is all very confusing!
Nothing changes when it comes to Thai Bureaucracy does it?
